Our Story

Hello! I’m Mary, owner and founder of Kalipay.

As a military spouse, I’ve spent the last 15 years supporting my husband’s career & mission. Our family has traveled across the Pacific Ocean, made 3 cross-country moves, said goodbye to friends and family more times than we can count and it wasn’t always easy. But we embraced the journey & the adventures that came with it and chose to live with gratitude and joy.

We’ve settled in Virginia Beach and my amazing husband has encouraged me to now follow my dream opening up shop. So here I am, with support from my family, embracing this next journey and choosing once again gratitude and joy over fear. Kalipay means joy or happiness in Hiligaynon, a dialect from the Philippines where my parents are from.
